Dao Re-Hilt

This is a re-hilt of a Chinese Dao blade. The tang had the threaded end removed and was then extended to accomodate the new grip length and to allow for a hot peen. Sculptural quality silicon bronze hilt fittings with a wood cored grip having a leather wrap. A similar re-hilt with tang extension on an existing blade could be done for $2100. This sword is not available.
